Wednesday, 27th January
Weather, Hot and wet.
Our day started badly, our taxi driver took us to where we
were supposed to catch a taxi boat the Marine reserve, sadly we found out from
a local who phoned him that he was not coming. The taxi driver then suggested
taking us to another beach from which we could snorkel. The ride took us
through this lovely island, so green and lush.
The beach was clean, we headed off to some rocks to snorkel,
unfortunately the weather turned bad and the current changed and we had a hard
job getting back to shore.
Changing from our swim wear to dry clothes was a laugh....no
change rooms and it was still raining. We then returned to the ship to drop off
our gear and get a feed.
In the afternoon we walked to the Botanical Gardens so we
could see the Giant tortoises. They are such wonderful large creatures, I am
glad we had the chance to see them.
