Cape Town, South Africa

Thursday, 4th February.

Only one day to see as much as possible. We set of to the HOHO bus stop; purchased a 2 day pass and a cable car ticket each. This allowed us unlimited use of the bus, a Harbour Cruise and a Sunset Tour.

Table Top Mountain and a cable Car ride to the top are on most every ones list of things to do. The line up was long but not as bad as when we came down 2 hours later. The views were magnificent, definitely as must do. For the more youthful; you could walk up to the top, not for us, but the fit do it easily in a couple of hours

The Cable Car

Once down we hopped back on the bus and completed the Red Route and saw the coastline. There are many beaches, but not all suitable for swimming. The bus loop finished at the waterfront, so we did the half hour Harbour Cruise before returning to the ship for a feed and a nap.

5.30 pm was the meeting time for the Sunset Tour so we walked back to the Waterfront and stood in line. The bus departed at 6pm and we had a wait of about an hour once we had reached the top of Signal Hill before the sun set in the Atlantic Ocean.

Friday, 5th February.

I had booked a taxi for 8 am and at 7.45am I got a call from the driver that he was outside, so by 8am we were diving out of the port area toward the airport. The flight was less than 2 hours and Tony had a view of the coastline for most of the trip.

On our way
